Taylor junior Amanda Adams put together the best match of her career on Wednesday evening, recording 28 kills and 22 digs in a five-set win over Saint Francis (23-25, 25-17, 25-22, 16-25, 15-13).
After falling in the first set, the Trojans answered back with wins in the second and third sets. Saint Francis extended the match with a nine-point triumph in the fourth set.
The Cougars held a three-point lead in the final game, but kills from Julia Pomerenke, Kacy Bragg, and Nikki Parrett tied it up at 12-12. After both teams registered a point to make it 13-13, Adams closed the match out with back-to-back kills.
Pomerenke finished the match with 14 kills and a .344 hitting percentage, while Grace Issacs collected 12 kills and two blocks. Bragg added nine kills, 30 assists, 10 blocks, and one ace.
