Andrews records 100th victory, Degenkolb, Robinson move up scoring list in triumph over Goshen

On Tuesday night at Odle Arena, the Taylor Trojans took care of business, dominating the Goshen Maple Leafs from start to finish in a 98-69 rout.

Josh Andrews, in his seventh season at Taylor, joins TU Hall-of-Famers Don Odle and Paul Patterson in winning at least 100 games as the head coach of the Trojans.

Furthermore, Taylor’s senior guard tandem of Mason Degenkolb and Ryan Robinson continued to climb up the TU all-time scoring list, as they each scored 21 points on a combined 15 made shots.

As of Tuesday, Degenkolb now ranks seventh with 1,834 points, while Robinson moved into the top 10 at 1,726 points.

CJ Penha recorded his ninth double-double of the season, finishing with 11 points and 14 rebounds, while Jason Hubbard added 15 points on six-of-eight from the floor to go along with four blocked shots. Vincent Miranda and Kegan Owen combined for 21 points, four assists, and five steals off the bench.

The Trojans never trailed in the contest, and held sole-possession of the lead over the final 37:05. The win helped Taylor secure the season sweep, as well as their 10th straight triumph, over Goshen.

For the game, Taylor shot 18-of-30 in each half and knocked down 12 of their 27 looks from downtown.
