Eastbrook’s losing streak hits three with loss to Alexandria

On Wednesday evening, the Eastbrook Panthers struggled early against the Alexandria Tigers and were unable to recover, falling in three sets (10-25, 8-25, 19-25).

The Panthers played much better in the final game, but they could not extend the match.

“We were not ready from the beginning and that was reflected in the scores,” Eastbrook Head Coach Bailie Havens said. “I think they picked on our back row a lot, and then the front row just couldn’t terminate, so we were just stuck watching basically.”

Kayleigh Gross and Chloe Poe led the defensive effort with 10 digs, while Lexi Binkerd led the offense with seven kills. Ava Walter dished out 16 assists in the loss.
