Giants bounce back from Mississinewa loss, rout Fort Wayne North Side on the road

After suffering a tough defeat at the hands of the Missississinewa Indians in their home opener, the Marion Giants bounced back in a big way on Saturday evening, picking up their first win of the young season with an 89-63 triumph over the Fort Wayne North Side Legends.

Marion controlled the game from the start, taking a 23-10 lead after the first quarter and holding that double-digit advantage the rest of the way.

Jalen Blackmon led the Giants with 27 points, while Matthew Goolsby, after a strong opener, poured in 20. JK Thomas finished with 14, while Rasheed Jones came away with 10.
