Giants unable to recover from early deficit against Dwenger

Fresh off their impressive win over Kokomo, the Marion Giant could not keep their momentum going on Saturday night, falling behind early and never recovering in a 56-47 loss to Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger at the Bill Green Arena.

After Dwenger took an 18-9 lead after one quarter of play, the Giants came storming back in the second, trailing by just four points at halftime.

However, a rough third quarter saw the Giants score just four points, while Dwenger increased their lead to 12. Marion performed better in the final quarter, but they were unable to overcome the Saints.

Jalen Blackmon continued his tremendous start to the 2018-2019 campaign, leading the Giants with 24 points. Dre Aguilar scored eight, while freshman Rasheed Jones came away with six in the loss.
