IWU ends Caleb Dimmich Classic with fifth straight triumph

Behind strong performances from junior Kyle Mangas and freshman Noah Smith, the IWU Wildcats came away with their fifth straight victory on Saturday evening, defeating Lincoln College by a score of 83-74. 

Mangas led the Wildcats with 22 points, while Smith scored a career-high 20 points in the win. Smith also collected four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. 

The Wildcats led by as many as 15 points in the contest, while shooting 59 percent from the floor.

Mangas played excellent basketball all weekend, leading the Wildcats with 48 points while adding 15 rebounds and nine assists. He shot 56 percent from the field. 

Seth Maxwell was equally as efficient, scoring 36 points and grabbing a team-high 21 rebounds. He recorded four blocks against Lincoln – the third time he has accomplished that feat in the young season.

As a team, the Wildcats shot 54 percent in the Caleb Dimmich Memorial Classic and grabbed 80 total rebounds, 23 of which were on the offensive glass.
