IWU wins three of four games against Oakland City, Viterbo

On Friday, IWU split a two-game series with Oakland City University, losing game one, 4-1, before winning game two by a score of 4-3.

Stats were not readily made available for either game.

On Saturday, the Wildcats improved to 13-7 on the season, coming away with 7-2 and 3-2 victories over Viterbo University.

In game one, Eder went 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple, a run scored, and an RBI, while Parker Johnson recorded two knocks and three RBI.

Conner Cantrell (1-0) won his first decision of the season, scattering seven hits and allowing just two runs over four innings of work.

In the second game of the day, Judah Wollenburg scored a run and hit a triple, while Austin Turner finished 1-for-2 with an RBI in the victory.

Tim Olvaney (2-1) struck out four and allowed zero hits over three innings of work, while Johnny Rohde notched his second save of the season.
