MG tennis splits matches with Hamilton Heights, Muncie Burris

In the Argyll Invitational on Saturday, the Argylls finished 1-1, defeating Hamilton Heights, 3-2, in the first match before losing to Muncie Burris, 4-1, in the championship.

Cleaver won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, and the Argylls notched tiebreakers wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to come away with the victory. Butcher/Crouse came away with a 2-6, 6-1, 10-8 triumph at No. 1 doubles, while Comer/Wilson were 6-1, 4-6, 10-6 victors at No. 2 doubles.

Comer/Wilson finished with a 6-0, 6-0 victory in their match against Muncie Burris, but the Owls won every other match in a 4-1 triumph over the Argylls.

Cleaver was swept at No. 1 singles, while Bramel won just two games in a 1-6, 1-6 loss at No. 2 singles. Whybrew fell 2-6, 1-6 at No. 3 singles, before Butcher/Crouse lost a tiebreaker in a 5-7, 6-7(4) defeat at No. 1 doubles.
