In a contest where runs were a luxury , the Mississinewa Indians came out on top, winning their 13th game of the season with a 2-1 triumph over Southwood on Tuesday night.
The Knights scored their only run of the game in the second inning, taking a 1-0 lead, but the Indians quickly found the equalizer in the third.
Mississinewa took the lead for good in the bottom of the sixth, and held on down the stretch to secure the victory.
Jenna Berryhill and Kandis Downham combined for seven strikeouts and allowed just one hit each. Kylie Smalley and Aubrey Tann each finished 2-for-3 at the plate, while Lexi Cruzan went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
