Mississinewa softball falls to Northwestern in eight innings

On Monday, the Indians came away with their 10th loss of the season, as they were defeated by the Northwestern Tigers, 6-5, in extra innings.

Northwestern held a 5-2 lead heading into the sixth inning, but the Indians rallied, scoring three runs over the next two frames to extend the contest.

The Indians were unable to complete the comeback, as the Tigers scored in the bottom of the eighth inning to secure the victory.

Amaya David finished 2-for-2 with a double , a home run, and two RBI, while Cruzan finished 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Vasquez pitched the first four innings, allowing two hits, while Berryhill had six strikeouts in the final four frames.
