Mississinewa tennis sets new program mark in victory over Muncie Burris

On Thursday, the Indians set a program record for most wins in a season, as they defeated the Muncie Burris Owls 4-1 on the campus of Ball State University.

Heidi Rowley won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, while Tignor/Herring lost just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles to give the Indians two quick points. Stephenson/Miller provided the third point with a 6-4, 6-1 triumph at No. 1 doubles.

The highlight of the contest came at No. 3 singles, where Stanley kept her perfect record intact with a 6-3, 4-6, 10-3 victory.

Mississinewa’s lone loss came at No. 1 singles, where Haleigh Rowley was defeated 2-6, 2-6.
