On Monday afternoon, the IWU Wildcats completed their three-game sweep of Saint Francis, defeating the Cougars by a score of 14-11.
IWU collected eight runs on ten hits in the first four innings, taking a lead they would hold for most of the afternoon. The Wildcats added two runs in the fifth and four more insurance tallies in the ninth to secure the victory.
Tanner Killian recorded his fifth home run of the season, while Denver Blinn collected his fourth and Tye Thixton added his third. Miguel Fernandez and Chris Lopez also homored for the Wildcats.
Fernandez led the team with four runs batted in, while Blinn and Lucas Goodin each finished the contest with three hits.
Parker Johnson posted 4.1 innings in relief, posting a career-high six strikeouts.
