Wildcats swept by IU Kokomo

On Tuesday afternoon, the IWU Wildcats ended their non-conference slate with a pair of losses, falling to the IU Kokomo Cougars 4-0 and 5-4.

In the first game, the Cougars scored all four of their runs in the sixth inning off of two runs, two walks, and two errors. IWU, on the other hand, left seven runners on base in the defeat.

Caleb Eder pitched a complete game, allowing just one earned run and three hits while striking out eight.

In the second contest, the Cougars took a 4-0 lead in the third inning, but the Wildcats came roaring back over the next two frames to tie the game a t 4-4. However, the Wildcats were unable to complete the comeback, as the Cougars scored the game-winning run in the sixth inning.

Parker Johnson and Zee Breytenbach combined to allow one earned run and strike out six Cougars, while Ethan English finished 2-for-4 from the dish with a run scored and an RBI.
