Wildcats win third straight in sweep of Spring Arbor

After an eight-day layoff, the IWU Wildcats volleyball team didn’t miss a beat, winning their third straight match in a 3-0 victory over Spring Arbor University (25-19, 25-21, 25-18).

Tay Thomas and Morgan Miller led the way with 12 kills, while Emily Workman and Katie Cole combined for 39 assists. Banner Rodgers led the Wildcats’ defensive effort with 15 digs in the victory.

Abigail Rutt finished with two aces, while Rodgers had one.

“It was good to get the 3-0 win tonight,” Coach Candace Moats said. “I was proud of the girls because after coming off of an eight day break and battling the stress of midterms, they were able to still bring energy to the game.”
